Although technically on hiatus while conceptualizing a fully realized LP, a brief trip back home led to this spontaneous session and a fresh Wyalusing release. Continuing a thematic obsession with Carribean folk religion exhibited on past releases such as "...Plays Folk Ballads of the Kali Yuga" and "Blood Salutations", two improvised ritualistic shredders bookend this short EP, while the centerpiece of sorts is a freaked out cover of Papa Celestin and His New Orleans Band's 50s classic "Marie LaVeau". Musically, this release is no-fi harsh psychedelia, recorded in part on a phone, and played on half of a trap kit, a three string guitar, one fx-pedal and a borrowed organ. The first release in several years manifested in Wyalusing's hometown of Milwaukee, these trax also channel classic Midwestern freak vibes. Dig in, and expect much more next time Wyalusing surfaces. Produced by the Picatrix Sound.
